    What an exciting life Captain Tom lived. From his Yorkshires moors to the jungles of Burma, from riding motorcycles and tanks to managing building companies, all this culminating with two Guinness world records. He also had his share of sorrow but always kept upbeat, which is why he became the emblem of a country fighting his most insidious enemy. Thank you Sir Tom, rest in peace.
