I don't know what I'm doing, but I can't get enough; I can't taste him enough, feel him enough. The breeze swirls, redolent of black earth and blossoms on the cusp of fruiting, and I'm lost in a rich sensation of living in a way I've never known before. He's more intoxicating than the Capulets' wine, more decadent than their honeyed dates and drunken figs.
When he pulls back, his mouth swollen, his eyes dazed and glittering, he gasps, "Is this... is this what it's meant to feel like?"
"I don't know." I am unable to catch my breath. "I've no idea what it's meant to feel like-but if it's always like this, how does everyone ever stop."
